Sea buckthorn is well known for its health benefits and contains over 190 different micronutrients including various minerals and vitamins, omega oils, polyphenols and fibre. As a result it has a number of versatile end product uses from food and drink to cosmetics and health products.
It also has a strong, unique flavour which complements a range of different foods, from chocolate to fish, salads and meats. It can also be used for flavouring spirits or mixing with other fruits to make smoothies or other health drinks.
We are the largest grower of sea buckthorn berries in the UK, and the only UK certified organic producer of sea buckthorn. We currently grow over 4000 plants of 20 different varieties on our farm on the Essex coast.
We have sold berries to juice manufacturers, distillers, brewers, jam producers and cosmetic producers.
We harvest our berries when perfectly ripe in July-September, freeze them within an hour of picking and store them through the year in our on site cold storage unit.
We distribute nationwide using APC couriers (except Highlands and Islands, Northern Ireland, Isle of Man and Channel Islands).
